Kelly A. Frawley

Kelly A. Frawley, chair of the firm’s Matrimonial and Family Law practice, is known as a relentless advocate for her clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law.  She handles complex financial and custodial matters, and is a trusted advisor to her clients in disputes involving divorce, equitable distribution, custody, child and spousal support, paternity and other areas of matrimonial and family law before New York State trial courts. 

Kelly’s trial and courtroom advocacy skills, honed while a narcotics prosecutor in the New York County District Attorney’s Office and her insight from representing a broad range of clients, from CEOs to stay-at-home parents, both husbands and wives, have been the key to her achieving beneficial results for her clients. 

She has been named a Notable Woman in Law by Crain’s New York Business, a Family Law Trailblazer by the National Law Journal, a Woman Worth Watching by Diversity Journal and to the Lawline list of Top Women Faculty.  She has also been recognized on Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under Hot List and in Best Lawyers and Super Lawyers in the area of Family Law.  Kelly is regularly quoted on matrimonial issues in different business and lifestyle publications, including The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, Business Insider, Fox News, MarketWatch, Reuters, USA Today and more.  She previously contributed to Forbes in a semi­monthly column and to a monthly column in Ariana Huffington’s Thrive Global’s website.  She has also co-authored an article published in the New York Law Journal.

Kelly is a member of the New York State Bar Association.  She serves as co-chairperson of the Public Service and Education Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Family Law Section.

Outside of her practice, Kelly resides on the Upper West Side and is an active volunteer with the New York Junior League.
