Kasowitz partner Amit R. Vora was a featured speaker on several appellate litigation panels. 

  • On June 20, 2025, Mr. Vora was a featured speaker on a panel discussion titled “The Art of ‘Appealing’ to the Appellate Bench,” as part of the annual conference hosted by the South Asian Bar Association of North America (SABA-NA).  Mr. Vora, along with the Hon. Sanjay Tailor, Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court, Hon. Sabita Singh, Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and Hon. Neeti Pawar, Judge of the Colorado Court of Appeals, discussed best practices for taking, briefing, and arguing appeals.  The panel took place in Denver, Colorado. 
  • On June 26, 2025, Mr. Vora was a featured speaker on a panel discussion titled “Insights Into Current Trends in Trials and Appeals of Commercial Cases: The View From Bench and Bar” as part of Week One of the 2025 Judicial Seminars hosted by the New York State Judicial Institute.  Mr. Vora, along with the Hon. Tanya R. Kennedy, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, First Judicial Department of New York, Hon. Joel M. Cohen, Justice of the Commercial Division, New York State Supreme Court, and Mark Zauderer, Partner at Dorf Nelson & Zauderer, discussed emerging trends in trials and appeals of commercial cases.  The panel took place in Tarrytown, New York.
  • On July 10, 2025, Mr. Vora was a featured speaker on a second panel discussion titled “Insights Into Current Trends in Trials and Appeals of Commercial Cases: The View From Bench and Bar” as part of Week Two of the 2025 Judicial Seminars hosted by the New York State Judicial Institute.  Mr. Vora, along with Justice Kennedy, Hon. Timothy S. Driscoll, Justice of the Commercial Division, Supreme Court of the State of New York, and Mr. Zauderer, again discussed emerging trends in trials and appeals of commercial cases.  The panel took place in Tarrytown, New York.
  • On July 17, 2025, Mr. Vora was a featured speaker on an appellate litigation panel hosted by The Appellate Project (TAP), as well as the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABA-NY) and South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABA-NY).  Mr. Vora, along with panelists Anisha Dasgupta, former General Counsel at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, Dennis Fan, Associate Clinical Professor and Director of the Appellate Litigation Clinic at Columbia Law School, and Justin Lam, Counsel for Voting Rights and Elections at the Brennan Center for Justice, discussed strategies and tips for litigating appeals and the experiences and attributes necessary for practicing appellate advocacy.  The panel took place at CUNY School of Law in Long Island City, New York.
