Marc E. Kasowitz Awards Leo Terrell with the Robert Kasowitz Defender of Jewish Civil Rights Award

On November 9, 2025, Marc E. Kasowitz awarded Leo Terrell with the Robert Kasowitz Defender of Jewish Civil Rights Award at the Zionist Organization of America, Justice Louis D. Brandeis Award Dinner, Superstar Gala.  Mr. Terrell is the Chief of the DOJ Task Force to Combat Antisemitism and Senior Counsel at DOJ.  Mr. Terrell was honored for his courage, principle, and honesty in fighting antisemitism.

Robert "Bob" Kasowitz, Marc’s father, believed that everyone must be uncompromising in protecting Jewish people and Israel from the evils of antisemitism; with courage, morality, and strength he fought against the Nazis in World War II and stood up for Jews and Israel for his entire life.  In his role at DOJ, Mr. Terrell has taken on the virulent wave of antisemitism that has spread across college campuses and is working to protect the rights and safety of Jewish students.  Mr. Terrell is taking on this historic and monumental task with the courage and principle that embodied Bob Kasowitz.
