Kasowitz Announces Firm Name Change

Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP today announced that the firm is changing its name to Kasowitz LLP.  Kasowitz joins a growing number of law firms nationwide that have moved to a single name brand.

Marc Kasowitz, the firm’s founding partner, said the rebranding reflects the firm’s strength as a world class litigation practice: “We are incredibly proud that over the past three decades, we have built Kasowitz into one of the most powerful and well-known litigation firms in the country.  What we have achieved – for our clients and the firm – is the result of the dedication and excellent work of all of our lawyers and staff.”

Sheron Korpus and Dan Fetterman, Co-Chairs of the firm’s Management Committee, echoed those sentiments.  “Our results in court have made the Kasowitz name synonymous with cutting-edge litigation – a go-to firm for high-stakes litigation.  We believe that this initiative will enhance our brand today and in the future.”

Kasowitz’s broad litigation practice includes antitrust, securities, bankruptcy, white collar and government affairs, intellectual property, employment and matrimonial litigation.  In every discipline, Kasowitz is known for creative, aggressive litigators, and an eagerness to take on and win tough cases.  Kasowitz also boasts a dynamic and growing transactional real estate practice, a great complement to the firm’s real estate litigation expertise.

As the firm looks to the future, it acknowledges the recent departure of one of its founding partners, Dan Benson, and thanks him for his decades-long dedication, contributions, and friendship.
