Kasowitz Benson Torres real estate litigation partner Paul “Tad” M. O’Connor III and real estate transactional partner David Szeker are noted in the Law360 article, “COVID Construction Files: JDS’ New York Building.” In the article, Mr. O’Connor discusses how the coronavirus pandemic impacted AmBase’s lawsuit against Kasowitz client 111 West 57th Property Owner LLC, the owner of the iconic 90-story, luxury condominium building going up at 111 West 57th Street in Manhattan.  AmBase is a former indirect equity investor in the project; JDS Development is the project’s developer.  In 2020, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department unanimously affirmed a lower court’s orders dismissing all claims against Kasowitz’s client.  The article also discusses Mr. Szeker’s representation of JDS Development in connection with the project.
