Kasowitz Announces Partner and Special Counsel Promotions for 2024

Kasowitz Benson Torres is delighted to announce that Jordan Beltz, Fria Kermani and Joshua Roberts have been promoted to partner, and Alana Sher Klein, Robyn King Richards and Paul Williams have been promoted to Special Counsel.
 
Partners

  • Jordan D. Beltz:  Mr. Beltz’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.  He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of disputes involving contracts, product liability, antitrust, securities and structured finance matters.  Mr. Beltz is based in the firm’s New York office.
  • Fria R. Kermani:  Ms. Kermani’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and white collar defense and investigations. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court actions. She also has experience working on matters involving regulatory enforcement in connection with investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission and other government agencies.  Ms. Kermani is based in the firm’s New York office.
  • Joshua E. Roberts:  Mr. Roberts’ practice focuses on complex commercial litigation.  He represents private equity firms, financial institutions, and publicly-traded and closely held corporations in complex disputes in federal and state court.  He has experience with contract disputes, fiduciary duty claims, mergers and acquisition disputes, class actions, multi-district litigation, violations of civil RICO and bankruptcy adversary proceedings, as well as investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and various state attorneys general.  Mr. Roberts is based in the firm’s New York office.

 
Special Counsel

  • Alana Sher Klein:  Ms. Klein’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation.  She also has experience in the areas of creditors’ rights and bankruptcy.  She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court actions.  Ms. Klein is based in the firm’s New York office.
  • Robyn King Richards:  Ms. King Richards’ practice focuses on civil litigation, multi-district litigation and class actions.  Her work includes matters involving complex commercial and business disputes, product liability, toxic tort and unfair business practices litigation.  Ms. King Richards is based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
  • Paul G. Williams:  Mr. Williams’ practice focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, including patent litigation at the appellate and trial levels and unfair competition litigation. He has handled numerous complex commercial cases involving contractual disputes and business torts in state and federal courts.  Mr. Williams also has experience in bankruptcy litigation cases regarding fraudulent transfers.  Mr. Williams is based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
