Dr. Mihaela “Diana” Danca’s practice focuses on patent infringement litigation with an emphasis on chemical, biotech, and pharmaceutical patent litigation, particularly under the Hatch-Waxman Act. She has experience in all phases of patent litigation, including motion practice, jury pre- and trial activities, and appeals.
Prior to joining Kasowitz, Diana worked as a patent litigator at a number of New York law firms. She also worked as a medicinal chemist and is the co-inventor on several patents covering active product ingredients and methods of treatment in therapeutic areas including oncology, metabolic diseases and neuroscience.
Diana has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. Her graduate and post-doctoral work involved the design of synthetic methodologies and their applications towards the total synthesis of alkaloid natural products.
