Chen “Alexandra” Jia’s practice focuses on patent litigation. Alexandra’s experience covers technologies relating to software arts, including e-commerce services, financial technologies, machine learning technologies, networking technologies, context-aware services, distributed platforms, IoT, cybersecurity, user interfaces and digital health management.
Prior to joining Kasowitz, Alexandra was an intellectual property attorney at a California law firm. She has also counseled start-up companies on matters involving utility patents, design patents and trademarks. Prior to law school, Alexandra was a research engineer at Motorola Labs, where she designed and prototyped future-forward applications involving over-the-Internet dispatch communication with handheld devices, networking protocols (SIP), on-line virtual social communities, smart homes, smart enterprises and smart sensor networks.
Alexandra serves as co-chair of the IP Committee of the APABA Silicon Valley and is a member of the Silicon Valley Intellectual Property Lawyer Association (SVIPLA).
Alexandra is fluent in Chinese.
