Daniel J. Fetterman Co-Chairs 4th Annual “Defending Corporations and Individuals in Government Investigations” Conference in Washington, DC

On September 28, 2016, Kasowitz partner Daniel J. Fetterman co-chaired the 4th Annual “Defending Corporations and Individuals in Government Investigations” day-long conference at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC. The conference covered, among other topics:

  • the government’s current priorities in investigating and prosecuting
  • ethical and whistleblower issues in investigations;
  • cross-border investigations;
  • cybersecurity and data breach issues; and
  • insurance coverage for white collar investigations.

The conference featured a morning keynote address by Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, who is senior counsel at Kasowitz.

The conference also featured a luncheon keynote address by Robert S. Mueller III, former director of the FBI, as well as a wide range of panelists consisting of federal and state enforcement officials and leading white collar practitioners addressing critical issues in the white collar field, including Joseph Brenner, Chief Counsel, Division of Enforcement for the SEC; Aitan Goelman, Director of the Division of Enforcement for the CFTC; and Daniel Stein, Chief of the Criminal Division for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.
