Webcast: Pathway to Justice: Sanctuary’s Incarcerated Gender Violence Survivors Initiative

Kasowitz Benson Torres partner Nefertiti J. Alexander and staff attorney Binta A. Watkins will participate in a virtual panel discussion titled, “Pathway to Justice: Sanctuary’s Incarcerated Gender Violence Survivors Initiative,” hosted by Sanctuary for Families.  Ms. Alexander and Ms. Watkins, along with other pro bono lawyers who partner with Sanctuary for Families, will discuss the cases they are handling on behalf of gender violence survivors who have been imprisoned in New York State for crimes committed after prolonged domestic abuse, as well as share strategies on how to move these cases forward and secure the release of these survivors.
