The National Law Journal Names Mark Lerner Employment Law Trailblazer

The National Law Journal has named partner Mark W. Lerner, head of Kasowitz’s Employment Practices and Litigation group, a 2022 Employment Law Trailblazer.  The list recognizes 20 individuals across the country who are considered agents of change in employment law.  In his profile, when asked about the path that led him to becoming a trailblazer Mr. Lerner stated:

“I realized early on that my training and experience as a federal prosecutor could be harnessed to turn the tables on adversaries in civil litigations. Even when I am defending clients, I consider strategies more typically used on the offense.”

Mr. Lerner regularly litigates and counsels clients on a wide range of employment issues, including non-competition agreements, discrimination and harassment claims, theft of company information, among several other matters.  A former federal prosecutor, his trial prowess and the threat it implies enable him to often resolve cases early for his clients.  Mr. Lerner also conducts internal investigations of employment issues and negotiates disputes with the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorneys, District Attorneys, the FBI, FINRA and the Department of Labor.

The Trailblazers series of The National Law Journal celebrates individuals who have advanced their legal practice areas through the use of innovative strategies.  Read The National Law Journal Employment Law Trailblazers special supplement in its entirety.
