Law360 Names Michael A. Hanin MVP of the Year for Structured Finance

Kasowitz Benson Torres partner Michael A. Hanin has been named an MVP of the Year for Structured Finance by Law360.  The recognition highlights attorneys who have “distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.”

Mr. Hanin is a leading first-chair trial litigator with extensive experience representing investment firms in high-profile complex investment disputes concerning structured finance.  His recent wins on behalf of securitization investors include groundbreaking decisions by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Delaware Court of Chancery affirming the rights of noteholders in the multi-billion dollar National Collegiate Student Loan Trusts and establishing that such investors are owed fiduciary obligations by the entities who control securitization collateral.  He represents investment funds, both as plaintiffs and defendants, in litigations and arbitrations concerning CMBS, CLOs, CDOs, ABS and other bespoke financial products, including esoteric ABS, FinTech and crypto.
