Kasowitz Receives Legal Services of the Hudson Valley 2020 Access to Justice Award

Kasowitz Benson Torres has been awarded a 2020 Access to Justice Award from Legal Services of the Hudson Valley.  The firm was honored for its pro bono work through the Housing Project, a partnership with LSHV in which Kasowitz attorneys represent marginalized Westchester residents in eviction and foreclosure cases, preventing Westchester’s most vulnerable families from losing their homes.  The Housing Project is spearheaded by Sarmad M. Khojasteh, a partner at Kasowitz and board member of LSHV’s Board of Directors.  Kasowitz partner Jennifer McDougall supervises Kasowitz attorneys representing disadvantaged Westchester families in eviction and foreclosure cases.

Kasowitz was presented with the award at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley’s annual Equal Access to Justice Dinner on April 2, 2020, which was a virtual experience due to the coronavirus pandemic.
