Eric D. Herschmann focuses his practice on commercial and civil litigation, corporate due diligence investigations, criminal law, shareholder derivative, securities, banking, copyright, product liability, contract and employment litigation. He has tried cases around the country in federal, state and regulatory proceedings.

Mr. Herschmann is the former Vice Chairman of the Board of Southern Union Company, a position he had held from 2009 to 2012, and President and Chief Operating Officer of Southern Union, positions he had held from 2008 to 2012. He previously served as Senior Executive Vice President of the Company from November 2005 until May 2008. He also acted as Interim General Counsel of the Company from January 2005 until October 2007. He had served as outside counsel for the Company since 1997 and as its national litigation counsel since 1999. In 2012, Mr. Herschmann led a sale of Southern Union to Energy Transfer Equity for more than $10 billion dollars.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Herschmann was legal counsel for Citibank's Corporate Audit department, where he oversaw significant risk investigations on a worldwide basis. He also had served as a Senior Litigation Counsel and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
