Kasowitz opened its Atlanta office in 2001 with four lawyers. The office now has 18 lawyers, including a group of five intellectual property attorneys led by John L. North who joined the firm in May 2011 from Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP.
Kasowitz's growth in Atlanta reflects the firm's expansion throughout the country. During the past four years, Kasowitz, which specializes in complex commercial litigation, has grown nationally from about 200 lawyers to 375 lawyers.
