Culture

Kasowitz believes that the focused nature of our practice and working style, our long-term approach to associate development, and the firm's less formal management structure fosters a friendly and supportive environment.  Partners and senior attorneys have an open-door policy which cultivates camaraderie and promotes the exchange of ideas.

Our associates work directly with experienced partners in an informal environment which fosters close working relationships, both with colleagues and clients.

Cases are staffed with small teams of attorneys and associates have early and frequent opportunities for substantive responsibility and client contact.

Although the firm continues to grow and expand, we believe in maintaining a collegial and “small firm” environment.  Therefore, we provide opportunities for informal interaction, such as firm-sponsored cocktail receptions and breakfasts with Marc Kasowitz.  This allows new associates and partners to get to know one another and create mentoring relationships.

Highlights

“Kasowitz lawyers are known as being aggressive in court, but we are actually pretty nice people.  I cannot count how many times I have gone out with other attorneys here -- both associates and partners.  Everyone’s door is always open if you have a question about a case, or even if you just want to talk.  Simply put, the firm has a great culture.”

"I really enjoy and learn from my work, but mostly enjoy working here because of the people with whom I’ve been able to work.  The firm really feels like a family and I feel fortunate to be a part of it."

"While at the firm I have worked on various matters ranging in size and practice areas.  This diversity has allowed me to interact with a wide-range of associates and partners.  I have been impressed by how well everyone works as a team and the mentorship and guidance provided by many of the partners.  Kasowitz’s greatest asset is the collegiality of its attorneys and staff."
