Alfredo A. Perez de Alejo is a member of the Kasowitz intellectual property group, focusing on patent litigation involving a wide range of technologies.  He has significant experience managing complex cases and has worked on all aspects of litigation.  Mr. Perez de Alejo has litigated patents in various fields, including telecommunications, directory assistance, speech recognition, semiconductors, data vending systems, predictive text, interactive television and gene sequencing technologies.  Mr. Perez de Alejo has also counseled clients regarding patent and intellectual property issues related to corporate acquisitions.

In 2011, Mr. Perez de Alejo was named a "rising star" by New York Super Lawyers.  Mr. Perez de Alejo has also been involved in various pro bono matters, including extensive work in the areas of family and immigration law.  Prior to joining Kasowitz in 2012, Mr. Perez de Alejo practiced at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.

  • Gradient v. Skype: represents Skype in the Western District of New York in a patent suit relating to peer-to-peer networking.
